Distinctive 2 to 5-digit plates for private and classic cars up for grabs
Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has rolled out its 80th online auction, offering 350 unique vehicle number plates ranging from two to five digits.
These plates are available for both private and classic vehicles and span a wide range of codes including ‘H’ through ‘Z’, and the classic car numbers.
Registration for the auction will open on August 4 while the auction goes live on August 11 for five days.
Participants must have a valid traffic file registered in Dubai. A security cheque of Dh5,000 made payable to RTA and a non-refundable entry fee of Dh120 are required to join the bidding. Payments can be processed at the Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Al Barsha, and Deira, or online at www.rta.ae.
All purchases are subject to 5% VAT, and successful bidders must settle payment within 10 working days of the auction’s close. Payments up to Dh50,000 can be made in cash, while higher amounts require a certified cheque or credit card. Transactions can be completed at approved service centres, Customer Happiness Centres, or via the RTA website.
