Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has partnered with the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) to launch an initiative to enable motorists to pay RTA fines and seasonal parking card fees in easy instalments.

Payment can be made in interest-free instalments over various periods, depending on the amount of the fine.

“RTA has an agreement with the ADCB on a plan for the payment of fines and seasonal parking fees through interest-free instalments over three, six, nine or 12 months,” said Yousuf Al Reda, CEO of RTA’s Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector.

He added: “This agreement aims to bring more happiness to motorists through offering them extended periods for paying their fines or parking card fees with no interest involved. The move is a step further towards cementing the strategic partnership between ADCB and RTA.”

Omran Taimour, regional head of branch banking at ADCB, said: “We, at ADCB, are proud to be the first UAE bank to tie up with RTA to launch this unique facility that provides our customers with a quick and efficient system of clearing their traffic and parking fines, while facilitating flexibility of payment and customer convenience. ADCB has always been committed to enhancing the banking experience for its customers, advantage and introduction of this new payment model is an extension of this commitment.”
