Dubai: The Abu Dhabi Mobility Center has advised motorists and road users of enforced speed limit reductions on two major highways: Sweihan Road (E20) and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed International Road (E11), urging continued compliance to ensure safer roads.

Under the updated regulations, the speed limit on Sweihan Road (E20) between Abu Dhabi and Sweihan has been reduced from 120 km/h to 100 km/h. On Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed International Road (E11), a key route linking Abu Dhabi Industrial City to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, the speed limit has been revised from 160 km/h to 140 km/h.

The reduction on E11 was first announced by the Abu Dhabi Mobility Center last month and came into effect on April 14, 2025. Both updates fall within a road safety strategy aimed at curbing traffic accidents, especially in high-speed corridors with growing vehicular activity.
