Dubai: All the routes toward Dubai Mall currently remained chocked on Thursday evening as residents rushed to take advantage of the three-day Super Sale, Dubai Police said.
“Heavy traffic jams were witnessed on roads leading towards shopping malls including: Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Mirdif City Center,” Dubai Police tweeted last night.
However, an official in the Traffic Police department said that their patrols were there to regulate traffic and ensure the safety of the public. The UAE consumers headed for a full weekend of mega shopping frenzy, as hundreds of retailers across the city’s shopping malls have reduced their prices by up to 90 per cent.

The three-day Super Sale in Dubai has just kicked off on Thursday and shoppers are assured of “unbeatable discounts” on clothes, shoes, bags – even grocery items.
At 17:05 PM, a traffic accident on Dubai-Al Ain Road further aggravate the traffic congestion and caused delays on the road.
