Dubai: Residents will be able to enjoy four days of free parking in celebration of Eid Al Fitr, announced the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on Monday.

All public car parks will be free, except for multi-level parking terminals, from 29 Ramadan to 3 Shawaal 1439H, which falls on Thursday June 14 to Sunday June 17. The parking tariff will be re-activated as of 4 Shawaal 1439H, which is on Monday June 18.

During the Eid Al Fitr holiday, a number of RTA services, in addition to public buses, metros and trams will change.

The Customers’ Happiness Centres will be closed from 29 Ramadan up to 3 Shawaal 1439H, and will reopen on 4 Shawaal 1439H.

The Dubai Metro Station’s Red Line will operate on Thursday June 14 from 5am to 2am (of the following day) and on Friday 15 June 2018, from 10am to 2am (of the following day). From Saturday June 16 to Monday June 18, the service will run from 5am to 2am (of the following day).

The Dubai Metro Station’s Green Line will run on 14 June from 5.30am to 2am (of the following day) and on June 15  from 10am to 2am (of the following day). From Saturday to Monday (16 to 18 June 2018), the service will be running from 5.30am to 2am (of the following day).

The Dubai Tram will operate from Saturday to Thursday from 6am to 1am (of the following day), and on Friday from 9am to 1am (of the following day).

The service timing of public buses during the Eid break will affect main stations such as the Gold Souq Station, which will open from 5.14am to 00.59am and Al Ghubaiba Station from 4.46am to 12.33 am. Subsidiary stations, like Satwa, will operate from 5am to 11.59pm except for Route C01, which will be operating around-the-clock.

Al Qusais Bus Station will open from 5am to midnight, while Al Qouz Industrial Station will operate from 6am to 11pm and Jebel Ali Station will be offering services from 5am to 11.30pm. 

Stations of Metro Feeder Buses, such as Al Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa-Dubai Mall, Abu Hail and Etisalat, will open from 5am to 1.10am (of the following day). The timing of all metro feeder buses is synchronised with the timing of the metro service.

Inter-city bus stations and commercial buses will operate during the Eid holiday as follows:

Main stations like Al Ghubaiba will operate around-the-clock to Sharjah’s Al Jubail), and from 4.40am to 1.05am (of the following day) to Abu Dhabi.

Subsidiary stations, like Union Square, will operate from 5am to 00.35am (of the following day). Al Sabkha Station will open from 6.30am to 00.30am (of the following day). Deira City Centre Station will open from 6.55am to 10.34pm, Karama Station will open from 7am to 10.10pm and Al Ahli Club Station will open from 7am to 11pm.  

During the first three Eid days, abra services will operate at Dubai Creek Stations (Ghubaiba, Baniyas, Dubai Old Souq, and Al Seef), from 10am until midnight. 

At the Shaikh Zayed Road Station, the abra service will be from 4pm to 11.30pm. The electric abra will be operating at Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall from 6pm to 11pm, at Mamzar from 2pm to midnight, and at Al Seef/Baniyas from 4pm to midnight. The air-conditioned abra (Al Jaddaf, Dubai Festival City) will operate from 7am until midnight.

Service provider centres, including Tasjeel, ENOC, Shamil and Emarat will be closed during the holiday from Thursday and will resume on Monday. Meanwhile, the centres of Tamam Al Ghandi, Cars, Wasel Belhasa, Speedfit, Al Mumayaz, Sherawi, Quick and Autopal Centers will be closed from Thursday to Saturday, and will be back to normal office hours on Sunday.
