Dubai traffic alert: Expect delays on major roads during Eid, RTA issues advisory
The RTA has warned of potential delays on various Dubai roads due to Eid celebrations
Dubai: The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has warned motorists of potential traffic congestion across the city due to Eid Al Fitr celebrations. Travelers are advised to plan ahead for smoother journeys.
Traffic advisory for Dubai Airport
Increased passenger traffic is expected around Dubai International Airport, leading to delays on:
Airport Road
Rashidiya Road
Access points to departure halls
Peak hours to avoid:
4:00 am – 10:00 am
6:00 pm – 11:00 pm
To ease congestion, RTA recommends using alternative routes such as Sheikh Rashid Road and Nad Hamar Road.
Dubai Metro extended hours
Dubai Metro will operate until 1:00 am from March 29 to April 2, 2025, to facilitate Eid travel.
Temporary changes to intercity buses
From March 29 to April 1, 2025, intercity bus routes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be adjusted for improved convenience. Regular schedules resume on April 2, 2025.
