Dubai: Motorists on Thursday were stuck for nearly two hours in a gridlock of traffic due to multiple accidents on Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road.

The accidents were reported at around 12.15pm in the direction towards Abu Dhabi, near Global Village.

The accidents caused heavy delays with traffic flow brought to a halt from the intersection of International City up to the City of Arabia.

Motorists on their way to Sharjah were also stuck in sluggish traffic after an accident happened after Mirdif City Centre, adding further woes to motorists who left work early.
