Many registered cases of motorists driving recklessly even in residential areas and during late hours
Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police are urging motorists to abide by road safety rules and refrain from performing any stunts with their motorcycles while advising that such activity can often lead to severe injuries.
Lieutenant Colonel Saeed Al Khaja, deputy director of tactical affairs and security, stated that there are many registered cases of motorists driving recklessly even in residential areas and during late hours.
In an attempt to spread awareness on the dangers of reckless driving, Abu Dhabi Police have organised various activities and campaigns. As they were mainly aimed towards the youth, the police rode their “Falcon Bike”, which was designed with certain features special to the police.
Al Khaja said the bike highlights the importance of safe driving while having an attractive design. The bike comes in a red with the police logo on it. It also has a strong engine, a siren, safety gloves and a first-aid kit. Many motorists and drivers participated in the campaigns and enjoyed viewing the Falcon Bike.
