All flights will leave Dubai at 11.10 pm and reach Colombo at 05.40 am the next day. All flights will leave Colombo at 02.05 pm, except on Mondays, and will arrive in Dubai at 4.35 pm. On Mondays, the flight will leave at 5.35 pm and will reach Dubai, via Muscat, at 10 pm.
At present, the airline offers five flights a week between Dubai and Colombo. "The additional weekend flight on Friday between Dubai and Colombo will be welcomed by our customers," said Kumar De Silva, the carrier's manager for the UAE.
"The common arrival time of 05.40 am in Colombo offers convenient connections to Male, South India and the Far East." SriLankan Airlines will also increase its flights between Dubai and Kuwait from four to five each week.
These will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, leaving Dubai at 5.35 pm and reaching Kuwait at 6.40 pm.
Return flights will commence on the same day, leaving Kuwait at 7.35 pm and arriving in Colombo at 10.10 pm.
The Sri Lankan flag carrier also services Abu Dhabi every Thurs-day and Sunday. The Thursday flight will leave Abu Dhabi at 9.15 pm and will travel via Muscat to reach Colombo at 05.25 am.
The Sunday flight will leave Abu Dhabi at 9.50 pm and will fly to Doha before landing in Colombo at 06.55 am the next day.
The return flight from Colombo to Abu Dhabi will also operate on Thursdays and Sundays. The Thursday flight will leave at 5.45 pm and reach at 8.15 pm. The Sunday flight will leave at 6.20 pm and land at 8.50 pm.
All flights will be operated using the airline's new Airbus A330 aircraft.
