Authorities are working on emptying ship to prevent any leaks from diesel barrels
Umm Al Quwain: The Umm Al Quwain Emergency and Crisis team on Sunday started emptying the contents of a ship that ran aground off the coast of Umm Al Quwain on Thursday. The ship was loaded with barrels of diesel.
No casualties were reported. “The incident caused a minor spill of diesel on the ship’s surface, and the team is currently working on ensuring that the ship is emptied in order to prevent any other leaks from occurring,” said an official on the site.
