Sharjah: In a move that will enhance public services and improve quality of life, the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority has unveiled a new initiative aimed at easing the burden on individuals affected by residential fire incidents.

Brigadier Yusuf Obeid bin Harmoul Al Shamsi, Director General of Sharjah Civil Defence, told Gulf News the new service allows for the issuance of official certificates to those impacted by home fires, significantly reducing the processing time from two working days to just one hour.

The service to issue "To Whom It May Concern" certificates included reengineering administrative processes to reduce the service completion time from two working days to a maximum of one hour after the incident report is approved, reflecting the authority’s commitment to continuous improvement and service efficiency.
