Campaign focuses on identifying, rectifying faults that may delay emergency response times
Sharjah: In a move to strengthen building safety standards ahead of the summer season, Saned Facility Management has joined forces with the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority and the Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority to launch a comprehensive field inspection campaign.
The initiative is designed to assess and enhance the performance of fire alarm and early warning systems across buildings in Sharjah.
With soaring temperatures increasing fire risk during the summer months, the campaign focuses on identifying and rectifying technical faults in alarm systems that could delay emergency response times.
Central to the effort is the ‘Aman’ system, an integrated digital platform that links facility fire alarms directly to the operations centers of both the civil defence and Saned. This connectivity allows for real-time monitoring and faster detection of faults that could compromise public safety.
The campaign’s first phase targets buildings flagged by Aman for system malfunctions. Building owners and property managers are being notified and urged to conduct timely maintenance through contractors officially approved by civil defence. Officials say the campaign underscores the importance of regular system checks to ensure safety infrastructure remains effective and responsive.
"This initiative reflects a shared commitment to public safety and operational readiness," said a Saned spokesperson. "By working closely with property stakeholders, we aim to resolve issues before emergencies arise."
Authorities emphasise that the long-term success of the campaign will depend on continued collaboration between government bodies, service providers, and building operators to maintain high standards in fire prevention.
