The emirate of Sharjah has announced New Year's holiday for 2026.

Sharjah Resources announced that the New Year's holiday for 2026 will be on Thursday, January 1, 2026, for employees of government entities, bodies and institutions.

They will all resume official working hours on Monday, January 5, 2026, except for employees working on the shift system.
