Second professor dies at American University of Sharjah

Sharjah: Only 48 hours after the tragic death of Professor Richard Gassan, the American University of Sharjah is mourning the death of John Swanstrom, Assistant Professor in the College of Architecture, who died early on Wednesday in his home on campus.

Swanstrom joined AUS in 2002. He taught film production and film history classes at the university.

He is survived by his wife Colleen Swanstrom and stepdaughters Olivia and Genevieve Melkonian.
