Dubai: Roll up! Roll up! Pop corn and ponies, fireworks, stage shows, light shows, contortionists and other activities will wow you and your family during Eid Al Adha celebrations at parks, malls, museums and Global Village on Wednesday.

Jumeirah Beach Park, Al Mamzar Beach Park and Zabeel Park are all hosting activities from around lunchtime onwards, including horse rides, bouncy castles, nighttime juggling in ultraviolet lights, a bubble contortionist and in the evening light shows and stage shows.

The bubble contortionist - a lady inside a giant bubble performing ballet tricks, will put on a show and there will be parades by some well-loved cartoon characters all day long. Food stalls will be available, and games with prizes are all being held today.

The stage plays will start at 7pm until 9pm. Families have been enjoying the green areas of the emirate and flocking for picnics and games during the holidays. After a day spent outdoors there is still a lot to discover in and around the many malls.

Fireworks

Fireworks lit up the sky from 8pm drawing shoppers outside to be awed by the ten-minute show at Dubai Festival City waterfront.

Meanwhile shoppers in Dubai Mall, Festival City, Wafi City and Ibn Battuta Mall will be able to enjoy tea, coffee, dates and incense during the holidays as part of the "Eid in Dubai" initiative from the Dubai Shopping Festival.

Community performances and events from the Arab world will be held at the Mall of the Emirates.

At Deira City Centre, customs and traditional performances between 6pm and 9pm will offer a good opportunity to grab a snack and enjoy the show.

If you want to stay outdoors and enjoy the cooler evenings, Global Village is hosting a number of musical bands including, the Omani national band and a walkabout show with characters from the animated cartoon Shaa'beyat Al Kartoon along with Shaheen the Magician.

In Sharjah, the Science Museum will host different activities to keep kids curious about the world they live in, including a magic show at 4pm and presentations on the geometry of crystals at 7pm, a planetarium show at 7.30 and 8pm, toying with science presentation at 4.30pm and guest speakers.

Childhood favourite Noddy with his famous yellow and red car will put on a 'Noddy and the Treasure Map' show at 4pm and 6:30pm at the Airport Expo Dubai. Tickets will be available at Virgin Megastore, Dubai, and at Airport Expo Dubai prior to the show. Dubai Festival City has a specially designed Heritage Zone, Solo Musicians, fireworks, and music bands to entertain crowds.
