Cinemas offering free showing include Vox Cinemas in Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah: Novo Cinema in Dubai, Sharjah and RAK; and Reel Cinemas at Dubai Mall.

Reel Cinemas announced on its website: “Watch the live coverage for the Mars landing on February 9 for free. This is a limited engagement you should not missed in cinema.”

Watch from home

Those who prefer to stay at home, can also watch the live streaming of Hope Probe’s rendezvous with the Red Planet on  Emirates Mars Mission website (https://www.emiratesmarsmission.ae/).  Local Arabic and English channels, including Dubai One will also broadcast live coverage of Hope Probe’s final approach to Mars tomorrow beginning at 6.30pm (UAE time).

Critical moment

It is really fun to watch on the big screen. The Mars orbit insertion is the most critical and challenging part of Hope Probe’s journey. If successful, the UAE will become only the fifth country or entity in the world to reach the Red Planet, after the United States, former Soviet Union, China, India and the European Space Agency. UAE will also be the third country to accomplish the feat on its first attempt.
