Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has announced that it will increase the minimum amount to recharge Nol cards at vending machines in Dubai Metro stations from March 1.

“Starting March 1, 2025, the minimum top-up amount for nol Cards via ticket vending machines in Dubai Metro Stations will be Dh20,” RTA stated on social media.

The previous minimum amount to recharge Nol cards via ticket vending machines in Dubai Metro Stations was Dh5.

Earlier in August 2024, RTA had introduced a new policy requiring a minimum top-up of Dh50 for Nol cards at metro ticket offices, a hike of Dh30 for the same after it increased the initial minimum top-up amount of Dh5 to Dh20 in January 2024.

However, RTA had said that this does not apply to commuters topping up their cards online.

“Top-up your balance digitally and save time,” RTA said while announcing the new minimum amount policy for recharging at vending machines.

RTA said more details are available on the FAQs page on its website or via its Customer Service Centre available 24/7 at 8009090.
