Highest single-day attendance with nearly 5,650 guests
Abu Dhabi A day after completing their exams, pupils attending the Summer in Abu Dhabi Festival helped create a record for its highest single-day attendance with nearly 5,650 guests.
This year witnessed a 4 per cent rise over the previous year within its first 10 days of opening attracting over 30,000 visitors, a statement released by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (ADTCA) said yesterday.
“In previous years, the combination of domestic word-of-mouth endorsements and the event’s regional publicity campaigns ensured the festival’s final fortnight drew the biggest crowds,” said Faisal Al Sheikh, Events Manager, ADTCA.
“This year’s strong start can be attributed to a dynamic line-up of weekly shows, bigger-and-better attractions and the festival’s well-established position in the destination’s annual events calendar,” he added.
