Polish woman wins Harley in DDF draw

A Polish woman won a Harley Davidson motorbike and a Filipino and an Indian were the lucky winners of a Mercedes Benz and a Porsche respectively in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Promotion held yesterday.

Katarzyna Lachowszczak, who works in the textile industry in Poland, said she will present the bike to her husband. She travels to Dubai twice a month on business and always participates in the Dubai Duty Free promotion. She won a Blue Harley Davidson FXDWG Wide Glide.

Enrique Corpuz, a Filipino who has been working with Atraco Enterprises for the past 10 years, was delighted to hear that he won a Mercedes Benz S500. He said he was more than this month.

"I got my dream car and my wife just gave birth to our second child". He had purchased his winning ticket when he travelled to Egypt on business.

Mohammed Niyas, an Indian resident of Abu Dhabi, won a Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe, and immediately thanked his wife as it was she was had convinced him to purchase a ticket, when they travelled to Switzerland on a holiday.

An earlier winner, George Sayegh, was give the keys to a Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe.

He was flown to Dubai on Emirates courtesy of Dubai Duty Free to collect his car. The draw and presentation were held at the Sheikh Rashid Terminal in the Dubai International Airport.

It was conducted by Abdullah Ansari, Director of Human Resources and Development of Dubai Department of Civil Aviation along with George Horan, General Manager, Brendan O'Shea, Deputy General Manager, Salah Tahlak Senior Manager Promotions and Advertising and Nasser Al Arif of DDF.
