Dubai: Hamad’s dream came true on a Sunday morning, a day that his family will never forget. With the support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the 13-year-old, who has long battled illness, was granted what he wished for most: a camel of his own — not as a pet, but as a companion in his journey of resilience.

That morning, the stillness of his family’s farm felt different. In coordination with his family, the Foundation arranged for a young camel to be brought to the farm — a gesture filled with warmth and compassion. As the camel arrived and roamed the land that would become its new home, Hamad approached and embraced his new friend, a moment his family described as deeply moving.

Hamad had always shared a special connection with the animals on the farm, but it was the camel that captured his heart — a creature of quiet strength and calm. Through his illness, he held onto the dream of one day caring for a camel, and that vision carried him through difficult days.

The Foundation gave him more than a gift; it offered him healing and purpose. In the presence of the camel, Hamad found companionship and meaning. “This humanitarian gesture brought joy back to our son’s heart and lit his path with hope,” his family said, expressing deep gratitude to the Foundation.

Hani Al Zubaidi, CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, affirmed that the happiness of children is the guiding compass of their mission. “Hamad’s joy is living proof that hope is stronger than pain,” he said, adding that the wish was made possible thanks to the vital cooperation of Hamad’s family and the generous support of Badr Saad bin Suwailem Al Mahrami, who played a key role in fulfilling the boy’s dream.
