The Embassy of Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates, in partnership with the Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF), on Monday, hosted the Pakistani Mango Festival 2025 at Le Royal Meridien Hotel, Abu Dhabi. The event attracted a distinguished audience, including Emirati dignitaries, diplomats, business leaders, and members of the thriving Pakistani community in the UAE.

Dr. Muhammad Farhan, the festival's lead organiser, opened the event by thanking Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi and the Embassy of Pakistan for their unwavering support in making the festival a success.

In his address, Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Envoy to the UAE, highlighted Pakistan's global standing as the 4th largest producer of mangoes, renowned for their distinctive taste, aroma, and wide variety. Ambassador Tirmizi pointed out that nearly 60% of Pakistan’s mango exports are destined for Gulf countries, reflecting their immense popularity across the Middle East.

He further underscored the significance of cultural and promotional events like the Mango Festival in boosting Pakistan's image and fostering international goodwill. “Festivals like this not only showcase Pakistan’s agricultural excellence but also strengthen people-to-people connections between Pakistan and the UAE,” he said.

Guests were treated to an exquisite display of Pakistan’s finest mango varieties, offering a sensory experience that highlighted the country's proud agricultural heritage.
