The story emerged only on Wedensday when Lt. Al Ahmad was honoured by his commander, Major General Ali Alwan Al Nuaimi, Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police.
While on patrol on Monday, the officer saw the woman drowning while her other family members were also on the beach.

The woman was given first aid on site and later taken to the hospital for medical check-up.
Major General Al Nuaimi, lauded the Lt Al Ahmad and honoured the officer for his courage. Authorities had raised a warning on Monday to beach goers due to unstable weather.
