Dubai: Dubai Courts Department’s (DCD) notary public offices at Al Twar and Al Barsha will start operating 12 hours a day from May 1.
“The notary public offices at both branches [Twar and Barsha] will be operating fully and rendering all services from 8am until 8pm daily to all clients. This step has been set to satisfy and meet all the needs of our clients and strategic partners,” said the DCD’s General Director Taresh Al Mansouri on Tuesday.
He explained that such a step aims to serve the largest number of clients and accomplish the highest number of transactions.
The DCD is one of the few justice departments to offer a fully-fledged manual and electronic service to its clients, he added.
The Al Twar and Al Barsha branches services include attesting the signatures of parties who sign agreements, contracts of incorporation agreements, the selling of commercial establishments, loan agreements and power of attorney.
“The notary public offices render electronic and online services as well. E-services are designed to provide convenient, timesaving and hassle-free access to notary public services through Dubai Court’s website www.dc.gov.ae,” added Al Mansouri.
Part of DCD’s notary public services include attesting contracts, appointing an Emirati sponsor, acknowledgement of selling marine vessels and acknowledgement of waiving a case or police complaint.
Meanwhile the notary public e-transactions include attestations of general and private powers of attorney.
