MP demands arrest of Jogi's son for forgery
Junior federal minister Ramesh Bias, who represents Chhattisgarh in the Lok Sabha yesterday demanded the arrest of Amit Jogi, son of Chief Minister Ajit Jogi, for forgery.
"His father committed a forgery by getting a fake certificate to declare himself a tribal. The son has gone beyond. He took the civil services examination last year.
Amit is a citizen of America till date. I vouch for it as a responsible minister and have checked it out with the home ministry. How could a foreigner take India's civil services examination? I demand his immediate arrest," Bias said.
According to him, Sonia Gandhi acquired Indian citizenship 18 years after her marriage to Rajiv Gandhi, when the now prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee raised a question about the presence of a foreigner in the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's house which could be a security risk for the nation. "And here in Chhattisgarh we have a foreigner living and pretending to be an Indian," Bias said.
