Dubai: Dubai Police rescued a motorist who got trapped inside his vehicle after an accident on Shaikh Zayed Road.
Lt-Colonel Ahmad Atiq Bu Ruqaiba, deputy director of the search and rescue department at Dubai Police, said on Wednesday they rescued the motorist who was trapped inside the cabin of his saloon.
“We received an emergency call at 9.33pm on Tuesday about a driver who was trapped inside his vehicle after a serious accident with a minibus on Shaikh Zayed Road. We used hydraulic cutters to cut the doors open and rescue the driver,” Lt-Colonel Bu Ruqiaba said.
The motorist suffered minor injuries and was treated on-site by paramedics.
