Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth, and Community Development, has received the International Organisation for Standardisation certificate on the Ministry’s behalf in recognition of its quality management system.

The Ministry was recognised internationally in the presence of the UK’s Ambassador to the UAE, Dominic Jermey, at a ceremony held in the capital on Sunday.

The ISO certification is designed to test the quality of training products, services and good practice.

“The achievement of the international ISO certification comes in line with the Ministry’s goals towards providing excellent organisation and developing human resources, which are essential to achieve high-quality performances and efficient management,” said Shaikh Nahyan.

He also expressed his appreciation of efforts made by staff at the Ministry to achieve this prestigious recognition.

“The Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Community Development was one of the top five organisations handed the ISO certification. It took the Ministry two years to complete all requirements and the certificate came as a recognition to their knowledge, persistence, teamwork, skills and competence,” said Theuns Kotze, regional managing director at the British Standards Institution in the Middle East and Africa.

The Ministry has also been awarded other certificates for meeting quality management and health and safety standards.
