Man killed by speeding car in Sharjah

Sharjah: A man died on Wednesday morning after being run over by a speeding car in Sharjah, police said.

The 46-year-old Comoros man died on the spot, authorities confirmed, after being hit by the car on Wasit Road.

A police patrol and paramedics were dispatched to the scene of the incident to find the victim in a pool of blood.

The victim, identified as A.M.A.B., was crossing the road in an undesignated area. The victim’s body was transferred to Al Kuwaiti Hospital and later given to his family for burial.

The driver has been taken into custody. The case is with Al Heira Police.
