Man drowns at Sharjah’s Al Khan Beach

Sharjah: A 23-year-old Sri Lankan man drowned while swimming at Al Khan Beach on Sunday evening, Sharjah Police said.

The police operations room received a call about the incident at about 7.30pm. Police attended the scene along with an ambulance crew, rescue team and patrols, but the man was already dead. His body was moved to Kuwaiti Hospital.

Sharjah Police appealed to the public to avoid swimming in areas where warning signs are displayed.
