Man drowns at Sharjah’s Al Khan beach

Police appeal to public to avoid swimming in areas where warning signs are displayed

Sharjah: A 76-year-old man drowned while swimming at Al Khan Beach on Tuesday afternoon, an official at Sharjah Police told Gulf News.

The Kuwaiti was identified as K.Y.A.

The police operations room received a call about the incident around 2.30pm. The man’s body was recovered and moved to Kuwaiti Hospital. Later, the body was moved to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy.

Sharjah Police appealed to the public to avoid swimming in areas where warning signs are displayed.
