Man dies after falling from Dubai building
21-year old Indian man had returned to Dubai after completing studies in US only a week ago
Dubai: A young Indian man who had just finished his graduation in the US died after falling from a building on Saturday.
He fell from the eighth floor apartment of his parents’ flat in Bur Dubai, residents and building staff told Gulf News.
According to residents of Al Rais Shopping Centre building, the incident happened around 10am on Saturday. The man died after falling on to the first floor balcony.
Course completed
A staffer in the building said the deceased was a 21-year-old man who returned just a week ago after completing his course in medicine.
According to the staffer, the victim’s sister is also studying in the US and their parents are living in Dubai.
Apparently, his parents were not at home when the incident took place.
“His mother had gone to drop his father at their textile shop. By the time she came back, this had happened,” he said.
The victim’s family could not be reached for a comment.
A comment from Dubai Police was not immediately available.
