Is Facebook good, bad or ugly? Readers discuss

Facebook has been good for me because I use it like I would my home. If I don’t invite you to my house, you won’t be on my Facebook friends list. My friends on Facebook are my friends in real life. The website is good if you don’t spend hours on it. I subscribe to informative channels and stay updated through the newsfeed on my page. However, I have seen that some students waste time on Facebook — they substitute it with their real life, spending time that they should use constructively.

I don’t think Facebook is bad. As with everything else, Facebook has two sides to it. For me, the social network has been good so far, because I use it to a limit. I don’t post every second of my life on Facebook. The website helped me find people I was trying to reconnect with. When users forget their limits, Facebook can turn into a bad experience. It’s good as long as you control it and don’t let it control you.
