Heritage exhibition focuses on Zayed role

The Public Libraries Section of Dubai Municipality is conducting a heritage exhibition titled 'Genuineness and Loyalty' at Umm Suqueim Library.

The exhibition has been organised as part of the Accession Day celebrations of President His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, said Moham-med Jassim Al Eraidi, Head of the Public Libraries Section.

He said August 6 has a special significance in the life of UAE nationals as well as other residents of the country.

"The progress achieved by the nation under the wise leadership of Sheikh Zayed has been proof of that," said Eraidi.

Jenan Sadeq, Supervisor of Umm Suqueim Library, said that the exhibition is open to visitors during office hours from Saturday to Wednesday from 7.30am to 9pm and on Thursday from 7.30am to 2.30pm.

The exhibition was opened during the Heritage Environs, organised by the Public Libraries Section as part of its Summer Programme for 2002.

It also includes brief description about the seven environs – Religious Environs, Environ-mental Environs, Art Environs, Security Environs, Recreational Environs, Cultural Environs and Heritage Environs.

The Heritage Environs also coincided with the Accession Day celebrations with a wide-ranging programme. The programmes included reciting popular poems, best greeting card to Sheikh Zayed, heritage painting, and other competitions related to heritage presented by Saud Al Kaabi and Nariman Al Rostamani.

Children also enjoyed different traditional games and food.
