Free surgeries for cleft conditions

Abu Dhabi: A series of free reconstructive surgeries will be offered to children and young adults born with cleft lip and palate deformities this August.

The surgeries will be offered in the capital by charity organisation Operation Smile, which urged those with cleft deformities to contact patients@operationsmileuae.ae.

This will be the charity’s second mission in the UAE, and the surgeries will be performed between August 9 and 12. Established in 2011, the organisation has undertaken 16 missions in various developing nations, and provided more than 3,500 patients with life-changing surgeries.
