FNC to ensure all in-vitro centres follow Islamic rules

Abu Dhabi: The draft law for regulating in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) centres across the UAE was one of the key issues discussed in the latest FNC session, Dr Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs announced yesterday.

"The FNC decided to add a new article to the draft law to implement a supervisory committee that will ensure that all IVF centres are working in accordance with Islamic rules, teachings and ethics," he said at the concluding first term of a legislative chapter that began on February 12.

Dr Gargash applauded the performance of the UAE government in promoting political dialogue.
