Abu Dhabi: NMC Healthcare announced on Wednesday that it had been selected by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) to manage operations of Ruwais Hospital to offer improved medical services to patients in Al Dhafra Region.

The agreement was signed at Adnoc headquarters by Rashid Saud Al Shamsi, director of Business and Commercial Support, on behalf of Adnoc, and Prasanth Manghat, CEO and executive director of NMC Healthcare.

Through this agreement, NMC Healthcare will manage all operations at Ruwais Hospital. Continuing to provide all existing services, NMC Healthcare will also introduce a range of new specialities at the hospital.

Al Shamsi said: “This agreement with NMC Healthcare reaffirms Adnoc’s unwavering commitment to the health and well-being of our employees and the residents of the communities in which we operate. Expanding the range of services, we are able to demonstrate to our employees and the Ruwais community our commitment to further improving the already excellent medical services at Ruwais Hospital.”

Manghat said that they looked forward to working closely with Adnoc to meet the wide-ranging health care needs of the ever-growing community in Ruwais and Al Dhafra Region. “This is truly symbiotic, and we look forward to create synergies to achieve a higher social goal — quality health care for all,” he added.

Besides Ruwais Hospital, NMC has also been selected to provide Occupational Medicine Services to Adnoc employees across Abu Dhabi emirate. NMC plans to keep technology at the forefront as it brings about an integration of curative and preventive care.

As part of NMC’s long-term operations and maintenance strategy, the company is focusing to leverage its core competence in health-care delivery across the continuum of care via deploying its knowledge base of the market accumulated over four decades of community service. This partnership with NMC further improves Adnoc’s health-care service offerings to its employees and the communities on one hand while also enhancing NMC’s outreach to the communities and helping increase its brand equity for all the stakeholders including the regulatory authorities.
