The first-ever night market offered an unforgettable experience for visitors
As the sun began setting on a pleasant evening on Saturday, the two-day Gulf News Night Market 2025 came alive at Paus on Al Wasl Road, transforming the venue into a glittering wonderland. The air was filled with the hum of laughter and chatter as visitors, young and old, strolled between lively stalls, each one offering a unique and inviting experience.
The offered a platform for a host of businesses to reach out to customers, some of whom came from not just Dubai, but other emirates as well.
Twinkling lights illuminated the area, casting a soft glow on the boutique pop-ups selling everything from nutritious foods and healthy drinks, intricate, one-of-a-kind jewellery to stylish fashion accessories and handcrafted décor pieces.
Couples wandered hand-in-hand, drawn to the stunning displays. At many kiosks, rows of shimmering jewellery pieces caught the eye of those searching for something special to mark the season. The vendors were busy, with many customers checking out pieces that ranged from delicately designed necklaces to bold statement rings, each offering a touch of elegance and style.
For many attendees, the market was an exciting new discovery. “This is my first time here, and it’s quite interesting,” said Dilmeet Sahni, a businessman and longtime resident of Dubai. “It’s a great space, especially with Eid around the corner. It’s perfect timing, running until late at night.”
According to Sahni, such markets are a great opportunity for startups and young innovators to showcase their products. “I particularly like how it draws a crowd, and it’s good for the upcoming generation to have a platform for new ideas. I am hoping to see such markets by Gulf News for Diwali, Holi and other festivals too. It's a nice concept for society,” he added.
Apart from jewellery stalls, the market’s selection of boutique couture items was a showstopper in itself. From beautifully tailored abayas to unique, contemporary fashion pieces that blended traditional design with modern flair, there was something for every fashion-forward individual.
But it wasn’t just about style at the Gulf News Ramadan Market. Visitors indulged in a sensory feast, sampling a wide range of healthy food offerings that catered to every dietary preference. Visitors sipped fresh juices and nibbled on light bites offered at stalls, while some gravitated towards kiosks offering dairy-free chocolates and cookies, as well as health drinks. The sweet treats, crafted with care, offered a guilt-free indulgence for those looking to satisfy their cravings without compromising on health. The stall offering plant-based snacks and organic food items was equally popular, with many people seeking out nutritious options.
Interior décor lovers had much to enjoy, with vendors offering unique home accents. Whether it was a striking wall piece or a piece of floor decor, visitors could choose novel items to add a dash of personalised style to their homes.
Many visitors found themselves drawn to the market after reading about it in Gulf News. “We switched to subscribing to Gulf News less than a month ago, and my wife and I were intrigued when we saw this Ramadan Market being advertised. We decided to come by and check it out, and we're glad we did. It's a pretty eclectic collective, and we've made some purchases. It’s definitely an evening well spent,” shared Apoorv, and his wife Vibha.
Others, like Hitesh Haseeja and his family, found out about the event through Gulf News’ social media channels. “I think such a market is a great initiative for promoting local brands, especially since they don't always get a lot of platforms. We made some purchases; it’s been a good experience today,” said Haseeja, who came with his wife Apeksha and daughter Kyna.
The Gulf News Ramadan Market at Paus Dubai, was more than just a shopping event - it was a celebration of culture, community, and creativity. With its exquisite selection of jewellery, couture, health foods, and décor, among other things, it offered an unforgettable experience that left every visitor with something to cherish.
