UAE to fund projects undertaken by Al Azhar in Egypt

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Presidential Affairs signed a memorandum of understanding with the Cairo-based Al Azhar Al Sharif, to fund the implementation of projects and programmes undertaken by Al Azhar.
Under the memorandum, the ministry will provide a fund of Dh155 million to finance Al Azhar’s projects in Egypt.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Dr Ahmad Al Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, and Mohammad Bin Nakhira Al Daheri, UAE Ambassador to Egypt, in Cairo.
