Abu Dhabi: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received Mustafa Abdul Jalil, Chairman of Libya’s National Transitional Council (NTC), at Al Mina Palace on Sunday.
During the meeting, they discussed several developments in Libya following the victory achieved by the Council and Libyan people.
They also discussed efforts exerted by NTC, and its plans for the next phase that require the consolidation of security and stability, and the unity of the Libyan people towards one leadership that represents the people and achieves their aspirations for security, progress and stability in various fields.
Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed reaffirmed and conveyed to Mustafa Abdul Jalil the keenness of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to stand by and help the brotherly Libyan people in reconstruction, and development of their national governmental organisations to serve the Libya of tomorrow.
For his part, Abdul Jalil conveyed to Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed his greetings and gratitude to Shaikh Khalifa, wishing him good health and more progress and prosperity for the UAE people.
Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, and Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and other Libyan officials were present.
