The new design is inspired by the visual identity of the Government of Sharjah
Sharjah: The General Command of Sharjah Police launched vehicle licence plates with a new identity on Wednesday, aligning with the emirate’s approved visual identity. The new design features a modern look and advanced standards that enhance service quality.
Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, stated that the new licence plate design is inspired by the visual identity of the Government of Sharjah. It reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and his aspirations for the emirate as a global destination and a gateway to the future.
He emphasised that Sharjah Police is committed to adopting developmental strategies based on the highest standards of excellence and leadership. This initiative aligns with future aspirations, enhances the quality of life for the community, and contributes to the emirate’s sustainable development.
Colonel Khalid Mohammed Al-Ki, Director of the Vehicle and Driver Licencing Department, explained that the new vehicle plate design incorporates artistic elements that enhance its aesthetics through meticulous lettering and a harmonious visual composition.
He noted that vehicle owners can easily replace their old plates with the new ones starting Monday, March 3, 2025, at all service centers across the emirate.
