Ras Al Khaimah: His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has ordered the naming of Al Dhait South residential area after President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in recognition of his efforts to ensure decent living for citizens in all emirates across the country.
Al Dhait South residential area is adjacent to Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Grand Mosque in Ras Al Khaimah.
The committee following up the implementation of the President’s initiatives is currently working on the construction of the area to become Khalifa Bin Zayed City.
Shaikh Saud also ordered the naming of the residential area located in South Al Ghail, Ras Al Khaimah, after General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to become Mohammad Bin Zayed City.
He stressed that the international stature of the UAE would not have been acquired without the wise leadership of Shaikh Khalifa, who spares no effort to enhance the status of the country regionally and globally.
Shaikh Saud added that Shaikh Khalifa is a source of pride to every citizen, noting that the UAE under his leadership has been able to build bridges of cooperation with all countries based on mutual respect, cooperation and common interests.
He added that the UAE was harvesting the fruits of development started by the founding fathers and bolstered by Shaikh Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the direct follow up by Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed.
The RAK Ruler highlighted the efforts of Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed to ensure the welfare of Emiratis by addressing their needs in line with the approach of the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
He also commended his role in upgrading the Armed Forces.
