New Japan-UAE Goodwill Ambassador appointed

Dubai — Taro Kono, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, appointed Japanese actor and singer Hideaki Takizawa as the Japan-UAE Goodwill Ambassador on August 31.

The new ambassador will promote Japanese activities in the UAE with the aim of further strengthening the relationship between the two countries.

Minister Kono has requested Takizawa to proactively work on promoting Japanese attractions and cultural-exchange activities in the UAE. He pointed out that the UAE has the biggest Japanese community in the MENA region.
