Dubai: The Projects Department of Dubai Municipality on Wednesday announced its new headquarter project that is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2015.

The Dh53 million project located in Al Garhoud nearby other government authorities is aimed at meeting all requirements of an innovative office building in line with the most advanced international standards in construction field. The green building specifications also will be applicable for the new headquarter.

Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, said the move comes as part of the civic body’s efforts to provide the best facilities and services to its employees and the public, focusing on its vision to create a city that provides essence of success and comfort of sustainable living.

The ten-storey building will be completely allocated for office uses, which will include most of the departments along with all basic facilities such as plenty of parking spaces for employees and visitors.

Meanwhile, the civic body has donated Dh1 million to Dubai Autism Centre in a bid to support various initiatives that contribute in social welfare and uplifting of various sections of society,

The amount is to support the construction of a new advanced building for the centre in Dubai.

Lootah explained that the civic body has been in good relations with Dubai Autism Centre ever since its inception and was has been supporting the new building project from the beginning including finding land for the new complex.

He added the care Dubai extends towards various sections of society especially those who need special attention is a part of its advancement and development.

Mohammad Al Emadi, Director General of Dubai Autism Centre, expressed his gratitude towards the municipality for their contribution.

He hoped that more organisations from both public and private sector may come forward to join the campaign to raise funds for new building and stressed that Dubai Municipality’s donation will boost up the efforts for the noble cause.
