Mohammad promotes 821 Dubai immigration officials

Directorate head thanks UAE leaders for recognising efforts of employees

Dubai: As many as 821 non-commissioned officers and members of the staff at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai were on Tuesday promoted by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Commenting on the announcement, Major-General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, director-general of GDRFA Dubai, extended his thanks to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for their attention and care to all members of the country’s military, security and police forces.

Maj-Gen Al Merri appreciated Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid’s gesture which comes in recognition of the officers’ efforts, as well as to motivate them to continue their hard work.

The GDRFA director-general also thanked Lt-General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, for his continuous efforts to ensure the safety and security of the UAE community.
