Shaikh Mohammad shares old picture of his visit with his father Shaikh Rashid to New York’s Empire State building in the 1960s

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, took to twitter on Monday to share an old photo with his late father, in New York, that reflects their dreams for Dubai to build the tallest structures.
In the photo, taken in the 1960s, it shows Shaikh Mohammad with his late father Shaikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum standing at the top of the Empire state, the tallest building of that era.
In his tweet, Shaikh Mohammad said: “This is a photo of me and my late father in the 1960’s at the Empire State, the tallest skyscraper worldwide ... It was a beginning of a dream that turned into a reality in Dubai.”
In a following tweet with a picture of the “The Tower”, a new monument to the city to be built at the Dubai Creek Harbour in Ras Al Khor, he said: “We have the tallest structure in the world, the Burj Khalifa, and now Dubai Holding and Emaar Properties have launched a structure higher than the Burj Khalifa... Time will only add more towards our dreams.”
