Fatima praises efforts made by Liyuan to support women in China
Abu Dhabi: Her Highness Shaikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, on Friday received Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, at Al Bahr Palace.
Shaikha Fatima stressed that both countries’ leaderships will work hand in hand to enhance and promote bilateral relations to the highest levels, in light of the growing strategic cooperation, coordination and consultation on regional and international issues of common concern.
Shaikha Fatima also praised the efforts made by Liyuan to support women in China and their participation in various social activities that concern women.
Later after the meeting, Shaikha Fatima hosted a launch banquet in honour of the wife of the Chinese president.
