Dubai: Dubai Police have finalised preparations for the highly anticipated World Police Summit 2025, set to begin next Tuesday at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the three-day summit will gather top police leaders, global security experts, and prominent organisations to shape the future of policing and enhance international security collaboration.

At a press conference announcing the event on Wednesday, Brigadier Dr Saleh Rashed Al Hamrani, Deputy Director of the General Department of Excellence and Leadership at Dubai Police, said the summit is a premier international platform for discussing modern law enforcement strategies. “This year’s theme, ‘Beyond the Badge: Envision the Next Era of Policing’, reflects our commitment to pioneering innovative, tech-driven approaches to global security,” he said.

Attendance records

The 2025 edition is expected to break previous attendance records, fuelled by a 25% year-on-year increase in participation from law enforcement officials, industry leaders, and exhibitors. Over 300 speakers will take part in high-level discussions covering critical issues such as cybersecurity, AI in policing, organised crime, and crisis management.

Lt. Col. Dr. Rashid Hamdan Al Ghafri, Deputy Director of Forensic Evidence and Criminology at Dubai Police and Secretary General of the Summit, unveiled an expanded agenda featuring 12 specialised conference tracks, up from seven in the previous edition. Key sessions will cover smart city security, leadership in policing, and the operational use of next-generation technologies.

The summit will also introduce three new zones:

  • Academic Zone, showcasing research from top global universities and police institutes,

  • Start-up Zone, focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship in public safety,

  • Demonstration Hub, simulating real-world law enforcement scenarios.

Dubai Police highlighted its ambition to position the city as a global hub for security innovation and cooperation, with the summit fostering strategic partnerships between public and private sectors. Organisers reported a 200% surge in award nominations, underscoring the importance of recognising excellence in policing and community protection.

The accompanying International Exhibition for Policing and Law Enforcement will feature over 250 exhibitors presenting cutting-edge solutions in surveillance, data analytics, drone technologies, and emergency response.
