Dubai: Ajman Municipality and Planning Department has fined 14 establishments for not abiding by the rules on parking spaces, during several inspection tours held in 2016.
The department also issued warnings to 262 companies and establishments during 408 inspection tours, which were carried out to ensure companies and establishments were complying with certain rules and requirements on parking spaces in Ajman.
Mohammad Ahmad Abdul Razzaq Al Awadhi, director of Roads Department and Infrastructure at the department of Ajman Municipality and Planning, said inspectors carried out intense inspection tours targeting various kinds of companies and establishments across Ajman during the first half of 2016.
This was based on an annual plan by the department to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
He said the department is proud of companies that are committed to following the laws in place regarding parking spaces and also called on other establishments in the emirate to work towards committing to the system in place.
He also said that the inspection tours were launched to ensure smooth traffic flow and movement and achieve happiness of all residents in Ajman.
