Fujitsu Siemens launches new Notebook in the Gulf

Fujitsu Siemens Computers recently launched its new Lifebook S Notebook range in the Gulf markets.

The new Notebook series, which is a full-fledged office PC, also has the advantage of being the lightest notebook in its class with a maximum weight of 1.71 kilos.

"The 13.3" Lifebook S-5582 has been designed for those executives on the move who are looking for an ultra-portable notebook but do not want a tiny keyboard and numerous external drives," said Jacquie Carson, sales and marketing director in the Gulf, Fujitsu Siemens Computers.

The Lifebook S-5582 powered by the Intel mobile Pentium III 800 MHz processor-M with enhanced SpeedStep technology, offers 19 per cent more display area.

The magnesium alloy casing with an ultra-portable thin A4 size housing gives the Lifebook S series an attractive appearance while the powerful processor and renowned mobile slot gives travelers the flexibility to operate a range of choice accessories to satisfy all business traveling and enterprise needs.

The Quick Touch application and Security Panel, and a small, portable Port Replicator as standard, improved first and second battery for longer autonomy and numerous applications provide a unique user-friendly machine.

Security has received priority in this Lifebook S series. Data losses are prevented by a shock protected hard drive in addition to an integrated SmartCard reader, which offers access protection and roaming functionality.

Other security features include a standard security panel that boots the system only after the correct PIN code has been entered, alongside Intelligent mobile manageability tools which have been developed by Fujitsu Siemens Computers.

Such tools include the DeskAlert, which detects hardware failures or changes by constant monitoring of the notebook, enabling repairs to be discovered and completed before any damage occurs.
