Stuntman performs free shows in the UAE

German athlete Christian Pfeiffer, one of the world's leading motorbike freestyle and stunt show champions, is taking the UAE by storm this week as he performs in the first leg of his first motorbike freestyle Gulf tour.

Sponsored by Red Bull Energy Drink, the Christian Pfeiffer Gulf Tour 2001 will feature some dramatic and skilled motorbike tricks and stunts yet to be seen in the region. Through a series of live shows that are free of charge to the public, audiences in the UAE will be treated to the most dramatic and exciting features of extreme sport shows as Pfeiffer skilfully guides his bikes through obstacles and daring jumps at venues across the UAE until November 19.

Pfeiffer is the holder of two Guinness World Records for his motorbike freestyle stunts. These include the 2000 record for 'Wheelie 360's', which saw him perform 15 spins on the rear wheel of his bike in 30 seconds, and the 1997 record for a Bunny Hop long-jump – a motorbike jump over 33 people, without the use of a ramp. He is also the German Trial Cup Champion 1998, the Off-Road Challenge Champion 1996 and Winner of the Red Bull Harescrample in 1996, 1997 and 2000.

Following the saying: "The longer you sleep, the more tired you get", the energetic Pfeiffer will thrill audiences in the region when he performs his stunts in a series of professional and action-loaded shows. Spins, jumps, wheelies, long-jumps, screeching halts and one-wheel escapades, Pfeiffer's action-packed shows will be performed using both his Suzuki SV 650 and GASGAS TXT 280 bikes.

Following his Gulf appearance at the American University in Dubai and in Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi last week, the Christian Pfeiffer Gulf Tour 2001 with Red Bull Energy Drink will continue at the Dubai Bowling Club (today, 7.30pm); Dubai Internet City (tomorrow, 9.00am) and Inter-Continental Hotel Abu Dhabi (Monday, 10.00pm).

At the end of his UAE tour, he will visit Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.
