Dubai: Dr Rashid Ahmad Bin Fahd, Minister of Environment and Water, issued a ministerial resolution banning the fishing, trading and sale of small fish, the length of which is below the permitted limit.

The minimum permitted length of Sha'ari is 21 centimetres, Sha'ari Shukhaili and Sloi 22 cm; Hamour, 45 cm; Kan'ad, 40 cm; Zaridi fish, 25 cm; Safi, 18 cm; Farsh and Kofar, 24 cm; Jash Nuiami 20 cm; Jash Sal, 22 cm; Badah, 17cm; and Nesar, 16 cm.
